Our Build Materials

There is a lot to think about when you are planning to build a tiny home.  Hopefully this post will help alleviate some of the stress and guess work out of your planning process!  We have compiled a list of materials and appliances with links of where to buy them for anyone who is building a tiny house!

Before our build we went ahead and signed up for a Lowe’s credit card which gave us 5% off each purchase there. Doesn’t sound like much, but when you’re spending 15k+ at one store that makes a big difference!  Do your research on different credit card companies to see what is best for you though.  You’ll be spending a significant chunk of cash during your build and you want to be sure to get the best rates, cash back, and rewards for the money you are spending!

Let’s get started from the ground up and talk about the trailer real quick.  We went with a reputable tiny house company called Tumbleweed Tiny Homes to get our trailer.  They are pricey, but it’s the foundation of your house! They are also specifically designed to build tiny homes on and makes the process a heck of a lot easier.  Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money on a nice trailer, it is beyond worth it!  You can find and order their trailers here.

Washing Machine- Wonder Wash

Toilet- Nature’s Head Composting Toilet

Hot Water Heater- Ecotemp FVI 12

Heater- Dickinson P9000

  1. Hello!

I saw your website and wonderful tiny house. I am over half way through my tiny Mnasion (300 sq ft), and I really want white walls as well, but am struggling as to what to use. Can you please tell me what you used and it is working out. Mine won’t be moving after it’s done, so that is a consideration.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!
